Privacy Policy

Snorely is made by Hugo Software. This policy explains, in plain language, what the app does with data. The short version: we collect nothing, and the app cannot send anything anywhere.
The app has no internet access
Snorely does not declare the Android INTERNET permission. This is deliberate. Without that permission the operating system will not allow the app to open a network connection at all, so your recordings and your statistics physically cannot be uploaded to us or to anyone else. We operate no servers for this app and receive nothing from it.
We collect no personal data
There are no user accounts, no sign-in, no registration and no email collection. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, device identifiers or any advertising ID. We cannot identify you, and we do not want to.
The microphone
Snorely's whole purpose is to listen while you sleep, so the microphone permission (RECORD_AUDIO) is required. It is requested the first time you start a recording session.
While a session is running, the audio is analysed live on your device: the app measures loudness and low-frequency energy to decide when snoring is happening. From that it builds your Snore Score and the timeline of the night.
The app also saves short audio clips of the loudest snoring moments so you can listen back in the morning:
- at most 6 clips per night, a few seconds each, saved as 16 kHz mono WAV;
- kept only for your most recent 14 nights — after that the audio is deleted automatically and only the statistics remain;
- stored in the app's own private storage on your device.
The rest of the night's audio is never written to disk at all. Recording only happens while a session is active; when you tap "I'm Awake — Finish", the microphone is released.
Your data stays on your device
Night statistics (your scores, event timelines, the remedies you ticked, your settings and chosen language) are written to the app's private local storage. Audio clips are written to the app's private database. Both are sandboxed to Snorely, are not readable by other apps, and are removed when you uninstall the app.
Android's automatic cloud backup is switched off for this app (allowBackup="false"), so your recordings are not copied to Google Drive or any other backup service.
No ads, no analytics, no tracking
Snorely contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK and no third-party tracker of any kind. Nothing is profiled, shared or sold, because nothing is ever collected.
No payments
The app is completely free. There are no in-app purchases and no subscriptions, so we never see any payment information.
Children
Snorely is not directed at children. Because the app collects no data at all, it collects no data from children either.
Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export and delete the personal data a company holds about you. We hold none. Your data lives only on your device, entirely under your control: Settings → Delete All Data erases every recording and statistic immediately, and uninstalling the app removes everything.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
