Terms of Service
Last updated: July 24, 2026
These terms cover your use of the Snorely mobile app, published by Hugo Software. By installing and using the app you agree to them.
Snorely is not a medical device
This is the most important thing on this page.
Snorely is a wellness and self-tracking tool. It is not a medical device, it does not provide medical advice, and it cannot diagnose, treat or rule out any condition — including obstructive sleep apnea, which is a serious disorder that requires proper clinical assessment.
Snore detection works by listening for loud, low-frequency sounds. It is an estimate and it can be wrong in both directions: it may miss snoring, and it may count a fan, traffic, a partner or a pet as snoring. The Snore Score is a relative number for tracking your own nights over time. It is not a clinical measurement and it means nothing outside this app.
If your snoring worries you, if you stop breathing during sleep, if you gasp or choke at night, or if you are exhausted during the day, please see a doctor. Do not use this app in place of medical care, and do not delay seeking care because of anything it shows you.
The app is free
Snorely is completely free. There are no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no ads and no paid features. Everything in the app is available to everyone. We may not always keep the app free of charge in future versions, but any change of that kind would apply to new versions, never retroactively to a version you already installed.
Recording other people
You are responsible for how you use the microphone. If you record in a room where other people are present, make sure that is acceptable to them and lawful where you live. Some places require the consent of everyone being recorded. We have no way to see or control what your device records, and you agree not to use Snorely to record anyone unlawfully.
Your recordings are yours
Everything the app produces stays on your device. We claim no rights over it and we never receive it. Keeping it safe, and deleting it when you want to, is up to you — the app provides Settings → Delete All Data for that, and uninstalling removes everything.
Battery and screen
To keep listening through the night, Snorely holds the screen on (dimmed to near-black) for the duration of a recording session. This uses considerably more battery than a phone sitting idle. Charging your phone overnight while recording is recommended.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We do not promise that it will detect snoring accurately, that it will run uninterrupted through a whole night, or that recordings will never be lost — a phone can run out of battery, run out of storage, be killed by the operating system, or be restarted. Do not rely on Snorely as the sole record of anything important.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hugo Software is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, including any health decision you take on the basis of what it shows you.
Changes
If these terms change, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
